FDP on FOSS
With regard to the introduction of FOSS lab in the Anna University curriculum for engineering students of CSE and IT branches, a Faculty Development Programme was organised by Computer Center, MIT campus, Anna University in association with Indian Linux Users Group Chennai, for the faculty members from various engineering colleges in Tamilnadu. Computer Society of MIT took the role of coordinating with the resource persons and helped in making arrangements for the programme.
This is a four day programme held during 16 — 19 February, 2011. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.Ramaseshan Ramachandran, Director, Cognizant Innovation Group and presided over by Dr.V.Rhymend Uthariaraj, Director, RCC, Anna University. Following the inaugural and presidential addresses, the first session of the programme was handled by Mr.Shrinivasan, coordinator of ILUGC.
